Zao Wou-Ki: Master Printmaker — Asia’s First Major Retrospective

Zao Wou-Ki Untitled 1960 etching and aquatint Zao Wou-Ki occupies a rare position in twentieth-century abstraction: a Chinese-born artist fully at home in Paris, yet one who never abandoned the visual memory of his early training in ink and calligraphy. His work synthesised Eastern technique with European modernism, creating a vocabulary entirely his own. From December 13, 2025 to May 3, 2026, M+ in Hong Kong presents Zao Wou-Ki: Master Printmaker , Asia's first major exhibition dedicated entirely to the artist's graphic works. While Zao is often celebrated for his monumental canvases, this retrospective repositions his work on paper as a laboratory of invention—revealing a practice as exploratory and rigorous as his painting. From Singapore to the Palais-Royal: Cuturi Gallery to Open in Paris

Kevin Troyano Cuturi brings his Singapore gallery to Paris this March, opening at 24 Galerie de Montpensier in the Palais‑Royal gardens — a location notable as the former home of Didier Ludot’s vintage couture boutique. Lionel Sabatté Since 2019, Cuturi Gallery has championed Singaporean artists such as Khairulddin Wahab, whose work engages with memory and urban landscapes, and Faris Heizer, known for installations that explore space and medium. Henry Moore’s Nature of Form Takes Root at Kew Gardens

"There's no need to go to Greece to see sculpture," Henry Moore once said. "All the sculpture one needs is in a pebble on the beach." It’s a remark that feels almost casual until you find yourself at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew , circling a two-tonne bronze and realising it is not a statement to be read, but a way of looking. Monumental Nature unfolds across Kew’s 320 acres, with thirty sculptures dispersed through lawns, vistas and pathways, with a parallel presentation at the Shirley Sherwood Gallery tracing the artist’s process through drawings, prints and rarely seen works on paper. The effect is not simply scale, but movement — an exhibition designed to be read through walking. What becomes apparent almost immediately is how much the experience depends on shifting position.
