Madonna Exhibition Rocks W Hotel Singapore

Rediscover Madonna and her punk-meets-rock look of the 1980s, when the fresh-face young singer on the cusp of international stardom sported short curly blond hair with dark roots, heavy black Khol eyeliner and large Creole earrings.

Madonna: A Transformational Exhibition, now at the W Hotel Singapore, features never seen before photographs of the music legend’s iconic 1980s street style captured by celebrated photographers Richard Corman (photo above) and George DuBose.

The photographs have been curated by Rock Paper Photo, an online fine art photography gallery, founded by Live Nation Entertainment and Madonna’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary.

“Madonna was an 0riginal,” Corman said in a press statement. “No one at that time had the look, the talent, and the relentless attitude and fortitude to move her style forward at all costs. These images [represent] her fearlessness and charismatic bravado that to this day credits her with changing the course of Pop Culture.”

The traveling multi-media exhibition started at the W Mexico City, before moving on to theW Paris- Opera, and is expected to go on to W Hong Kong and W New York – Times Square

At each stop along the global tour of W Hotels, New York City street artist Alec Monopolycreates new artworks by transforming the photos with his graffiti style.
