Major sale of Burgundy wines coming up in HK on Nov 4 and 5

Acker Merrall & Condit will hold an extensive sale of Burgundy wines in Hong Kong on Nov 4 & 5. The 1,276 lots are expected to raise over HK$100 million/ US$12.8 million. The centre-stage will be the unparalleled collection of Don Stott, the world’s foremost Burgundy collector. Boasting an unrivalled breadth and depth, Stott’s collection has already aroused tremendous interest from discerning collectors and connoisseurs from around the world.

The sale will also be the occasion for a major celebration of the wines of Burgundy. Eight of the most prestigious producers in the French region will present their wines at a series of events leading up to the auction, including Chateau de la Tour, Clos de Tart, Maisons Drouhin and Jadot, and Domaines Dujac, Liger-Belair, Rousseau and Senard. Wines from these producers will also be among those featured at the auction, and collectors will have an opportunity to taste and discuss these Burgundies with the winemakers themselves.
