Singapore Heritage Centers Usher in Year of the Snake with Colorful Hongbaos

Singapore’s heritage institutions will usher in the Chinese New Year with complimentary Hongbaos (a rectangular envelope to hold money given as a gift during auspicious occasions) given to visitors when they purchase their admission tickets.
Each packet features a cute cartoonish snake character set in a context inspired by the heritage gallery it represents, but eschewing the traditional red and gold closely associated with good luck, these Hongbaos will come in various pop art colors.

Visitors will be able to collect the free red packets while stock last over selected periods; From Jan 21-27, the design inspired by Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall to be available at that hall only, from Jan 28-Feb , the design inspired by the Malay Heritage Centre will be available there and from Feb 4-9, the design inspired by the Malay Heritage Centre, Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall and the yet to open Indian Heritage Centrewill be available that both locations.

From experience, these little Hongbaos got very fast and beware, these are the only one issue this year. Unfortunately, the museums decided not to issue their own!
