Ulysse Nardin unveils its "dragon" offering

Ulysse Nardin has unveiled the Classico Enamel Champlevé Dragon. Exuding a fiery spirit, the bright orange and yellow dragon seems ready to leap from the enamel champlevé dial. Set atop a background of the special blue dial of the Classico that represents Ulysse Nardin's distinctive signature (often referred to as Ulysse Nardin Blue), the strong Dragon twists and writhes about the hour markers.
The brand will produce 88 pieces of the Classico Dragon 40mm in 18-karat white gold and in 18-karat rose gold (obviously a good luck number for the market it is targeting).

Last month, the Swiss watchmaker announced that it had acquired Donzé Cadrans SA, the specialist luxury watch Manufacture dial enameller. After many years at the helm of Donzé Cadrans, Francine and Michel Vermot have decided to retire, selling their 100 percent stake to Ulysse Nardin. The acquisition will provide Ulysse Nardin with additional cloisonné and grand-feu enamel expertise, while cultivating its passion for uniquely beautiful watches.
