Last year’s edition of the Affordable Art Fair in Singapore raked in S$1.75 million with 9,500 visitors, making it the most successful first-time affordable art fair ever. Not bad when the average art price for works bought was S$2,000. This year it’s returning on Nov 18-20 at the F1 Pit Building with an even greater number of galleries (70 vs 50 last year)

The fair has big ambition as it aims to attract more than 12,000 visitors this time around. Established in London more than ten years ago to debunk the myth that collecting art is only for the wealthy, AAF is now an annual event in nine major cities around the world. Works on display will have prices ranging from S$100 to S$10,000, and collectors will be able to purchase prints by Takashi Murakami and Damien Hirst.

You can also expect established local names like Justin Lee and rising star Genevieve Chua.
