His romantic paintings have a strong whiff of nostalgia, portraying a bygone age - ladies daydreaming, lazing around sitting on Qing Dynasty furniture with birdcages and fans,washing their hair in ponds.
“Nostalgia and Imagination - Painting Exhibition of Hu Yongkai” at Wan Fund Art Gallery will open Jun 25, presenting 70 works by the artist.
