Jane Lee @ Osage Gallery, Hong Kong

Singaporean artist Jane Lee, who just had a piece nominated for the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation Signature Art Prize , will have a solo show opening at Osage Gallery in Hong Kong on Sep 16

Prélude à l'après midi d'un faune will present a selection of some her most iconic pieces as well as her most recent artworks, where she explores the realm of sculpture within the painting boundaries.
The artist patiently squirts paints with a seringe to "build" a rich tactile tapissery that first "deformed" the canvas and now can even stand on its own as a sculpture.

In a reference to French composer Claude Debussy’s master piece, Prélude à l'après midi d'un faune explores painting composition through the ideas of color and texture.
