Some very exciting news for the city-state's art and design community. Come September 2011 there will be a new high profile art fair in Singapore: the Pavilion of Art & Design Singapore. The fair will be mounted by the same people behind the very succesull Pavillion of Art & Design London and Pavillon des Arts & du Design Paris. Both fairs are a must-see in the international art diary and were listed in the ‘Fairs Power’ section of Art + Auction’s Power List 2009. PAD Singapore will feature Modern, Contemporary and Asian Art, Design and Jewelry. Coming on the back of the first Affordable Art Fair in November and the Art Stage Singapore (next January), this is another major boost for Singapore's ambition to position itself as an art hub. PAD Singapore will be held at the Marina Bay Sands, like Art Stage. All these new fairs are joining the established Art Singapore fair, which is running in October.
