Must Attend - Art Forum in Hong Kong

If you're interested in learning more about Chinese art, you should attend the Asia Art Forum, which will take place in Hong Kong from May 21-23. This lecture series will include several respected figures from the Asian contemporary art world, as well as one day fully devoted to a deeper examination of the current state of the art market and the role of the collector in Asia. Lectures planned include: Bang to Boom: Chinese Art in the 1990s with curator Karen Smith; Centre and Periphery: the Dynamics of Hong Kong Contemporary Art by critic and independent curator Valerie Doran; Big Art in China by curator Philip Tinari. Jeremy Wingfield, Phillips de Pury’s Contemporary Art Specialist, will also give his view on the Asian art market, while Indonesian collector Dr. Oei Hong Djien will talk about his art collecting journet. For more information check out their website www. asiaartforum.com.
