The three-day Art Apart Fair is returning and this time it is putting the spotlight on Eastern Europe.
Visitors will see selected works by emerging artists from Russia, Ukraine, and Serbia, including Roman Antonov, Pavel Antipov, Tatiana Lysak-Polischuk, Ekaterina Zhadina, Vladimir Kolesnicov, Lily Balasanova, Sergey Kolevatich, Naja Maljevic, and Oleg Lazarenko.
“We showcased three Russian artists — Roman Antonov, Pavel Antipov, and Tatiana Lysak-Polischuk — at our third edition and their works were exceptionally well-received. That's why I thought I should give them greater prominence at the upcoming fair,” explained Rosalind Lim, founder and director of Art Apart Fair.
To provide an immersion into Eastern European culture, the fair will also play host to Russian musician Iryna Vokhmyanina, who will perform with her daughter Kfeniia, accompanied by vocalist Anna Ivanenko, while guests will be able to savor canapés from Singapore's only Russian restaurant, Buyan.
Whilst the spotlight is on Eastern Europe, Asian artists will still be well represented and in total, the fair will see the participation of 23 galleries with several from Singapore — including Utterly Art, and Orient Painting — and others from further afield like Craft 21 from Korea and Art exposition by Gaps from the Philippines.
Art Apart Fair starts July 18 at the Parkroyal on Pickering hotel, Singapore.
