Another auction house has announced it will hold a sale in Singapore to coincide with the attendance of international collectors, especially from Indonesia, at Art Stage Singapore. Borobudur Auction will be holding a sale of Asian Contemporary & Modern Art, Jewelry, Ceramics and Wine in Singapore on Jan 25.
While One East Larasati recently confirmed that it had chosen to focus on 20th century Southeast Asian art, the art included in the Borobudur auction will be more mixed with works ranging from Yoshitomo Nara, Li Chen and Takashi Murakami to Zao Wouki, Affandiand Arie Smit. There will be a number of works by Yayoi Kusama and Ju Ming, as well as hot Indonesian artist Christine Ay Tjoe and some unusual pieces by Ronald Ventura.
Viewing will take place on Thursday Jan 24 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, level 2 Ballroom. The sale will be at the same location.
