Digital Fashion Week Singapore Kicks Off This Month

The Digital Fashion Week Singapore, which is billing itself as the world’s first live-streaming only fashion week, will be held from 20-22 October 2012 at The Tent @ Millenia Pavilion, Ritz-Carlton Singapore with New York-based androgynous supermodel Andrej Pejic headlining five of the catwalk shows.

The runway shows will be streamed live on the Web site (www.digitalfashionweek.com) and on YouTube (ww.youtube.com/user/digitalfashionweek) with designer outfits available for pre-order straight off the runway.

Six Singaporean designers will be showing their latest spring/summer 2013 collections, alongside the internationally renowned Chinese designer Guo Pei. Though there will be no "front row," there will still be a VIP viewing party with Emmy-winning American stylist Patricia Field of “Sex and the City” and “The Devil Wears Prada” in attendance.

Singapore veteran fashion designer Thomas Wee will be opening the fashion week with his debut men's wear collection, which he will follow up with his women’s wear collection.

London-based Singaporean designer Eugene Lin and Tze Goh will be flying back to Singapore to show their collections. Lin just presented his “The Judgment of Paris” spring/summer 2013 collection in London.

Singapore-based Pauline.Ning, OwnMuse and –J-A-S-O-N- will complete the line-up.

Organizers are planning for the event to be biannual.
