A graduate of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Chan won in 2004 the UOB Painting of the Year.
Since then he's been making a name for himself with his witty paintings and sculptural installations that examine the animal in all of us.
His animal/human hybrids painted in realistic style against his favoured vivid background colours of purple, yellow, pink and blue, examine our quirks, and in this case inner "egos." His works are always full of humour.
